Old Course Hotel & Pro Shop, St Andrews

CEG supplied a series of Recessed Aris Overdoor Air Curtains for the prestigious Old Course Hotel and Pro Shop in St Andrews.

The project required a discreet and effective entrance heating solution capable of maintaining occupant comfort while preserving the appearance of the building’s interior spaces. Working closely with KJ Tait Engineers, CEG assisted in identifying the most suitable air curtain solution for the application.

Through collaboration with both the design team and site contractors, CEG provided support throughout the project from selection through to delivery and controls integration.

The project required an air curtain solution that would deliver effective environmental separation at busy entrance locations while remaining visually unobtrusive within a high end hospitality environment.

In addition to product performance, careful coordination was required to ensure the units integrated successfully with the building services installation and controls strategy.

Maintaining programme requirements and supporting the installation team during the final stages of the project were also key considerations.

CEG worked closely with KJ Tait Engineers to review the project requirements and select JS Air Curtains’ Recessed Aris range as the preferred solution.

The recessed design allowed the units to be concealed within the ceiling void, maintaining the architectural appearance of the entrance areas while providing effective protection against heat loss and unwanted drafts.

Throughout the project, CEG coordinated closely with the site contractor to ensure timely delivery of equipment and provided technical support relating to controls integration and operational setup.

By acting as the link between consultant, contractor and manufacturer, CEG helped ensure the selected solution met both the performance and aesthetic requirements of the project.

The Recessed Aris Air Curtains were successfully delivered and installed, providing a discreet and effective entrance environmental control solution for both the hotel and pro shop areas.

The completed installation helps maintain occupant comfort, improve energy efficiency and reduce heat loss through frequently used entrances, while preserving the high quality finish expected within one of Scotland’s most iconic hospitality destinations.
